
Dr. Kristine Bauer is an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary and the Calgary Site Director for the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS). She obtained her PhD from the University of Illinois in 2001 and is an ELATES fellow (class of 2020). Her primary research area is algebraic topology and she is one of the founding members of the Women in Topology network. Kristine has been recognized with the Faculty of Science Excellence in Teaching Award and the GREAT Supervisor Award at the University of Calgary. She is the co-founder of the Math to Power Industry program at PIMS, and chair the PIMS jobs committee.
